This is a classic example of the saying, "Things aren't always what they appear." At first glance, this scene looks clear; the juvenile Cooper's Hawk is about to catch himself dinner. What was really happening was the hawk was sitting on the pallets, eyeing a couple of young squirrels that were on the ground. The adult squirrel noticed the hawk and charged straight at it. The hawk jumped up (as I snapped this picture) and flew off.
